Hello Kasson-Mantorville School District,
My name is Ted Ihns, and I have the honor of serving as the new Superintendent of the Kasson-Mantorville School District. Before joining Kasson-Mantorville, I held the following administrative roles:
-
- Superintendent of Indianola Community Schools, Indianola, IA
-
- Superintendent of Howard-Winneshiek Community Schools, Cresco, IA
-
- Elementary Principal, Inver Grove Heights, MN
-
- Associate High School Principal, Roseville, MN
-
- Assistant High School Principal and Dean of Students, Farmington, MN
In addition to my administrative experience, I spent 12 years working in school districts in both Minnesota and Iowa as a K-12 Physical Education Teacher. During this time, I also served as a coach and advisor for various activities, including football, basketball, baseball, student council, Junior Class, and Peer Mediator Sponsor in urban, suburban, and rural school districts.
I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from Concordia University-St. Paul and my Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership, along with my K-12 Principal and Superintendent License from Winona State University.
On a personal note, I have been married for 29 years to my wife, Pam. We have four children: Kelsey, Courtney (Garrison), Cassidy (Couy), and Peyton, and a granddaughter, Wrenly.
Thank you for entrusting your children to our schools and staff. Kasson-Mantorville Schools is a remarkable place to learn and work because of our tremendous students, staff, and community.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to say hello. I look forward to meeting you and working together to make the school year a great one.
